Lee Reloading Press

Lee reloading press I could not do a review of reloading presses with out mentioning the first shot shell reloading press I had owned. The Lee Load-all is famous because it is a inexpensive way to load and if you are not short of time and it works very well and is very accurate. I loaded with the one I had bought second hand for my first year shooting trap and just for sport shooting. I shot twenty four out of twenty five shooting doubles one time. It was after a lot of work and time learning with just what I could get cheap cheap shotgun. I never had the money to really take up the sport . But if not for the Lee Load-all I may have never had a chance at shot gunning at all.

I remember it taking quite a while to load a box of shot gun shells with the Lee reloading press even the light rounds we used for trap. It took a whole evening to load up to go for a weekend shoot which took six or seven hundred rounds or even more. What is important is that I do not remember ever having any problems with the Lee Load-all it worked just great and never left me with any problems at all. I must have had a few miss fire rounds but I do not remember any now but it has been fifteen years since then. I remember listening to the senior club members talking about there reloading with the bigger presses and doing it a lot faster than I could but their outfits cost over three hundred even back then. That’s just for the press not all the loads wads and lead . I found a place to get reclaimed lead back then and ordered a lot and it saved me quite a bit of money.

I did find it a lot uncomfortable trying to shoot trap with the senior members at the club when they had double barrel shot guns with everything you could want to shoot doubles. Some of the guns they had cost more than my new Ford Taurus. I just had a pump 12 gauge in a Winchester 1300 with a 30 inch barrel the only way I could get them was shooting long shots and for fun I went out with a friend and shot a lot with a long hand thrower. I got so I could hit the clays out at eighty yards fairly easy.
